Program Analysis and Control

Program Analysis &  Business Integration Division is focused on Projects and Programs at Ames Research Center. This includes the following:

    • Lunar Crater Observation & Sensing Satellite (LCROSS)
    • Small Spacecraft
    • Kepler
    • Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA)
    • High End Computing
    • Aeronautics Projects
    • Constellation Projects (CEV/CLV/TPS)
    • Return to Flight
    • Field support for Ames program and project offices

The responsibilities of the branch include:

    • Develop budget estimates under annual PPBE process (submit to Code CR)
    • Develop phasing plans
    • Develop and manage guidelines
    • Initiate transactions (PRs, SRs, travel orders, etc.)
    • Ensure effective budget execution
    • Provide reports, analyses, and advice to management
    • Develop life cycle cost estimates; obtain independent cost estimates
    • Integrate and manage master schedules
    • Implement and manage earned value management systems
